Product Description

The Green Toilet 100 Easy replacement tank makes using the composting toilet truly carefree.

This white replacement tank is designed specifically for the white Green Toilet 100 Easy composting toilet and allows for effortless batch composting without handling or shoveling.

For family use, one replacement tank is usually sufficient. For year-round use or with a larger number of users, several replacement tanks can be used. This allows the toilet's capacity to be increased virtually without limit.

Thanks to the replacement tank, a full compost tank can be set aside to compost in peace, while the toilet is immediately available for use with another tank. By the time the next tank fills up, the first one has usually already turned into soil, which can be safely utilized in the yard.

Using the Green Toilet 100 Easy replacement tank

When the Green Toilet 100 Easy tank in use fills up, it is removed and replaced with an empty replacement tank. The sealed lid of the replacement tank is placed on top of the full tank, and the used lid is moved to the empty tank. The wheel assembly is attached to the tank that is being moved.

Composting takes place entirely in a sealed tank without odors. In Finnish conditions, toilet waste composts into ready soil in about 8–18 months, depending on the climate and amount of use. For the best result, place the replacement tank in a sunny spot where the heat supports composting.

A few times a year, the compost mass can be aerated if desired by poking holes in it or gently turning the mass with a pitchfork. This speeds up the composting process. Leachate from the toilet can also be directed into the replacement tank; the urea it contains promotes composting and helps keep the mass suitably moist.

In winter, a full replacement tank may freeze – this is not a problem, as composting will continue normally when the weather warms up.
